Lights and Shadows

London 2022 and Tokyo 2023 Classical Piano Concert 

The primary goal of this project is to establish a connection between classical music and contemporary art practices. By employing creative visual discourse, the aim is to generate increased interest and engagement in classical music among the youth demographics.

The project utilized immersive visuals as a means to captivate the audience and foster a deeper connection with classical music and the stories behind it, thereby reducing the perceived distance between the music and the listeners. Video art is employed in a way that aligns with the context, historical background of each musical piece, serving as a narrative tool to inform and envelop the audience in the composer’s account.

The approach embraces a combination of ambiguous and overt imagery, allowing room for viewer’s individual interpretation. This intentional blending of visual elements creates a space for personal reflection and exploration while simultaneously drawing the audience into the world of classical music.
